Feuchtenberger International Performing Artists Management Company had its beginning when Pat Feuchtenberger, as a faculty member of the piano department at Concord College in Athens, WV took some of her students to hear the William Kapell International Piano Competition at the University of Maryland. Enrique Graf was the First Prize Winner. Several years later, Feuchtenberger returned to the Competition and Enrique Graf was in the audience. They talked and she learned that he was not under any management. Thinking, " that is not good, and that he really must be heard," she decided she would do it for "just a little while", until someone else took over, to keep the career going. "Just a little while" stretched into several months, for several reasons: she didn't feel comfortable "giving" Graf to a management she didn't really know, and, she began to learn how to do it. In several years, and as she learned the business, she decided that she liked it and resigned from the College to devote more time to Management. The Company limits the number of artists it will manage, wanting to give individual attention to each. The purpose of the Company is to provide direction and career development to distinguished performing artists and provide audiences with excellence in the performing arts. Feuchtenberger Management represents classical soloists and ensembles worldwide, and takes pride in assisting presenters in marketing their concerts successfully. Promotion includes setting up interviews, providing postcards, fliers, CDs and extra press kits. |
